Welcome to my studio!
My name is Tammy Rench and I am so excited that you are interested in learning about music! Please take a minute to explore my website and discover how you can begin to learn the art and fun of playing the piano. I have been playing the piano for over 40 years and have found that the skills I learned as a child have given me the gift of music that has lasted a lifetime! Now, I wish to pass my knowledge and skills on to others. My studio is my home and is a safe environment for people of all ages to begin their piano experience.
How do I get the most out of my lessons?
If you are wondering how young is too young or how old is too old, adults can start any instrument at any time. Their success is based on how willing an adult is to commit to practicing. So, if you are a young adult or older adult, don't be afraid to try something new that just might change your life. However, for children, starting at the right age is a key element to the success of their lessons. Some people will say "the sooner the better" but this sometimes backfires. If a child is put into lessons too soon, they may feel overwhelmed and just want to stop. The last thing you want to do is turn a child off to music just because they had an unpleasant experience which could have been prevented. Children who are older than the suggested earliest starting age usually do very well. In my studio, 6 years old is the youngest age that I start children in private piano lessons. At this age, they have begun to develop longer attention spans and can retain material with ease. They also have had the experience of a formal learning environment in kindergarten and school.
Thank you for taking an interest in you and your children's desire for music! I hope that you take the time to explore the website and register for beginning lessons. Don't miss out! Register now!
